While the United Kingdom gets out the bunting, and street parties are in full swing, those of us with any allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2nd should also be making a plan to celebrate her long and illustrious reign.
It is tricky though, with the Durban pace of life and the winter sunshine, and the Indian Ocean twinkling away to get ourselves into gear. Luckily the Oyster Box Hotel has saved the day, and is putting on a Jubilee High Tea. You will be treated to a celebration of Her Majesty’s life and times, with Pimms, roast rack of beef, with horseradish and jacket potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and all things British.
You are invited to soak up the wonderful atmosphere from 10am to 2pm in the Pearl Room on Tuesday 5 June. Booking is essential, so call Claire or Terry on 031 514 5000.
