With five South African Music Awards (SAMA) nominations, sensational house music trio, Mi Casa is set to perform at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake series on Sunday, 6 April at the Durban Botanic Gardens. Supporting them is the hugely popular group, The Muffinz.
Mi Casa is riding a wave of chart-topping singles, including “Jika” and “Turn You On”, and is blazing the dance floors in South Africa, the continent and around the world.
Their latest album, ‘Su Casa’ is nominated for Album of the Year, Duo or Group of the Year, Best Dance Album, Best Music Video of the Year and Remix of the Year at this year’s SAMAs.
Their blistering hot live performance is as festive as their sound, so show-goers are in for a treat.
Sophisticated afro-jazz, soul and funk act, The Muffinz is set to entertain the crowds before Mi Casa takes to the stage. The group is also nominated for a SAMA for Best Music Video of the Year.
Durban’s Botanic Gardens play host to the Old Mutual Music at the Lake series and sets the tone and environment for appreciating quality music.

“Friends and lovers of the series appreciate this top-class venue as it makes for a special experience,” said Old Mutual sponsorship manager Bandile Mngoma. “If you have never been to one of our shows we encourage you to pack a picnic basket, bring a few good friends and family and let the music take you.”
Pre-sold tickets are R120 while sales are R150 on the day. Children aged 8-12 pay R50 and children under 8 get in free. All children are welcome at the KidZone for some extra fun and games.
Drinks, cooler boxes and picnic baskets are welcome. Gates open at 13:00 for pre-sold tickets and at 13:30 for on-the-day ticket sales. The show starts at 14:30
Secure parking is available on the Juventus ground. Entrance to all parking is off lower John Zikhale (Sydenham) Road, adjacent to the Botanic Gardens and the Munies Hockey Field also off lower John Zikhale (Sydenham) Road.
