July 6, 2011. There is a lot of activity in the Sardine Run 2011 in the Rocky Bay and Park Rynie area today.
According to the daily KZN Sharks Board sardine run report, the wave size, generally, has dropped down to 1-1.5m along the KZN coast and the water has settled a bit since yesterday.

“There is lots of activity off Rocky Bay at Park Rynie, with two nets already taken and a third in the water,” commented Mike Anderson-Reade of the KZN Sharks Board. “Quite a bit of fish in the area and the shoals should move around to Scottburgh main beach later today.”
Anderson-Reade said there was also activity off the Bluff near the old Whaling Station, and at Ansteys and Brighton beaches, with a possibility of the fish coming around and into the Durban beachfront area later today.
Water temps are at 18.5 degrees with fish activity off the South Coast Sun at the Wild Coast Casino, and predictions that plenty more sardines will head up the coast.
