After months of hard work and preparation, the Currie Cup final is almost upon us. The Sharks have done all that’s been asked of them thus far and there’s only 80 minutes of rugby separating them from glory on Saturday. The Sharks are calling on the whole of KZN to unite and show their support for the local boys by switching school uniforms and work attire for the most imaginative black and white outfits in celebration of “Black & White Friday” on October 29.
To celebrate the occasion, and see The Stormers turned into Shark bait, the best-voted fan photo will receive an autographed Sharks Absa Currie Cup jersey. So dress-up, photograph yourself, your school pupils or your work colleagues and e-mail your photos with your name and contact details to final@thesharks.co.za on Friday, 29 October.
The winning photo will be announced on the website.

Sharks Marketing Manager, Mike Ablett commented, “After the tremendous success of our pink CANSA campaign, we are once again calling on our supporters to rally together in support of “Black and White Friday” as we gear up for the Absa Currie Cup Final on Saturday at The Absa Stadium Durban. It has been an exciting season and we would like to thank the Sharks fans for their support every step of the way”.
Remember to keep your world black and white on Saturday as well, whether you’re cheering at The Shark Tank or elsewhere!
