Update on Guy Stone, local Business owner, who was locked away for a good paws.
The much anticipated lock up of Guy Stone, local business owner of Stokers Arms in Kloof, was held on Friday, 29 July 2016. Guy was “locked up” on the railway line at Stokers Arms in a “cage” in an effort to help raise much needed funds for the Kloof and Highway SPCA. He was joined by two four- legged jail mates – Tyson the Toy Pom and Ruby the Basset Hound. An incredible R21,600 in bail money was raised by the community for Guy Stone’s lock-up and all funds raised will go towards the Kloof and Highway SPCA who receive no government funding and rely solely on the generosity of our community to enable us to continue our work in animal welfare. A special thank-you to Guy Stone for taking on this challenge and braving the elements in an effort to help raise much needed funds for the Kloof and Highway SPCA and a heartfelt thanks to each and every person who donated.

The moment we have all been waiting for has finally arrived… Mr Guy Stone, local business owner of Stokers Arms in Kloof, will be locked away on the railway line in a “cage” to help raise funds for the animals at the Kloof and Highway SPCA.
His jail mate Tyson, the Toy Pom, will be keeping Guy company during his lock-up. Guy, who is an avid animal lover, leaped at the opportunity to take this challenge on and his incarceration will begin at 10am on Friday, 29 July 2016 and will be released on Saturday, 30 July at 8am.
The Kloof and Highway SPCA receive no government funding and rely solely on the generosity of our community to enable us to continue our work in animal welfare. We encourage all animal lovers to come to Stokers Arms on Friday and Saturday to show their support by donating towards Guy and Tyson’s bail money.
