St Mary’s Old Girls Committee hosted a High Tea to welcome the soon to be Class of 2013 St Mary’s Old Girls to the Guild.
Guest speakers included designer, artist, illustrator and business owner, Victoria Verbaan, extreme endurance events athlete, Hayley Arthur, interior designer, business owner and contributing editor for Conde Naste, Ruth Duke, as well as award-winning pianist and vocal artist, Shannon Hope.
The panel summed up their personal and professional journeys and provided the girls with entertaining anecdotes, inspiration, and some home truths about what is to come. All of the panellists were self-starters, doing what they love despite the many obstacles to achieving personal success and fulfilment.
Cake pops, red velvet cupcakes and hot chocolate completed the fun hour spent mingling in the beautifully decorated Learning Resources Centre Foyer.
Welcome to the St Mary’s DSG Class of 2013 who will soon join thousands of St Mary’s Old Girls who have matriculated from the school.
