On Tuesday evening, 15 September, the Class of 2015 were welcomed into the St Mary’s DSG Old Girls’ Guild at a high tea held at the school and hosted by members of the guild.
Local businesswomen and entrepreneurs Caitlyn de Beer (Class of 2006) of Caitlyn de Beer Life Coaching, Lungi Nhlanhla (Class of 2007), ex-Masterchef SA contestant and owner of Lungi’s Corner and Tamara Ogilby nee Scribante (1994) owner of The Juice Kitchen, made up the panel of guest speakers.
The speakers entertained the girls with anecdotes from their journeys through school, university and life. These remarkable women had all come to crossroads in which they chose to change career and then ultimately began working for themselves. Fun and inspiration was the order of the day and the St Mary’s matric girls officially became a part of a community of over 3,000 St Mary’s Old Girls ready to welcome and help them in the years ahead.
