Margaret Hirsch recently launched her latest cookbook, Living the Modern Vegetarian Life, together with Ramola Makan who helped her start the Hirsch’s first microwave cookery schools back in the ’80s.
As Margaret was halfway through preparing some of the recipes from her book, popular MasterChef SA contestant, Deena Naidoo, arrived on the stage to help with the cooking. In a recent MasterChef episode, Deena was voted the best chef on the Michel Roux challenge. “It was definitely the highlight of my journey with Masterchef!” he told us. Michel, who is one of the most popular celebrity chefs on the BBC Food Channel, came across as a humble, modest person in real life Deena told us.
