Home bred celebrity Durban Stylist Terry Scott has succeeded again!
At a glittering event on Saturday evening at the EOHCB (Governing Body for SA Hairdressing Industry) he was awarded Hairdressing Icon status for his continued support, commitment, and unfailing dedication to the hairdressing industry.
It goes without saying that he has earned this honour and he is indeed a hairdressing icon.
Terry’s vision has always been to mentor up and coming young stylists, training them every day in the endeavour to develop them into top stylists. Terry Scott has earned the privilege of being called the ‘Vidal Sassoon’ of South Africa, as Vidal was his mentor and guru throughout his hairdressing career.
Terry’s vision is to continue the Terry Scott legacy, through his talented son Michael, daughter Claire (who are both stylists), his competent team of stylists under the guidance of Creative Director Grant Harper and all his other special and devoted staff, without whom he could not have achieved this.
Terry is once again the head of Terry Scott Hairdressing which was founded at the old Musgrave Centre in 1976 and one person who should not be excluded from his achievements, is his wife of 42years, Sandra, who has been there through all the ‘hair pulling’ , to coin a phrase.
We wish Terry all the best in his endeavour to stay at the top of his game, where he is!
