It’s wonderful seeing neglected parts of our community being revived, and such is the case with the Hillcrest end of Inanda Road. Not only is The Colony being upgraded, but the Junction on Inanda (9 Inanda Road) is undergoing a major facelift.
“We bought two neighbouring properties to create a new motoring and retail precinct with a food court,” explains Andrew Ryan of Fundamental Property Group. “Work is already underway and includes the construction of a new building, with Junction Energy (BP) at the centre of the site. We aim to create a clean, safe place where people want to spend time.”
The developers have been recognised by Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association for the work they have done to beautify and maintain their section of Inanda Road.
Anchor tenants include Tyre Mart, which is expanding to create the brand’s flagship site, and Mozambik Restaurant, which will soon have a sleek new look. New brands to look out for are a popular chicken fast food chain, coffee bar, a motorsport store and an outdoor lifestyle brand. “We have had a great response to the work we have done so far and want to thank the public for their support,” Andrew concludes.
