I am ridiculously excited that the Last Night of the Proms has come round again at the Playhouse. This quintessentially British affair is such a wonderful evening.
You can buy your streamers, flags and other red, white and blue accessories in the Foyer, and then listen to every English favourite from Jerusalem to Rule Brittania. The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by the ever popular Richard Cock, along with Durban Girls’ College, Clifton College, DHS choir, and OSCA tenors will again showcase Natal’s talent.
So if you fancy bobbing up and down to a sea shanty, or waving a flag to God Save the Queen in this Jubilee Year, the festivities start at 7pm and tickets are available from www.computicket.com and range from R110 to R190. Worth every penny in my opinion, I can’t wait!
