Whenever the sun comes out, my car is drawn up the North Coast towards Sage. Rory Hunt has done such an amazing job up at Sheffield Beach, and the gravel courtyard is surrounded by ever more tasteful shops and lovely things to do for the kids.
Pop into Willow and buy something beautiful for your home, or something to wear. The ornaments, baskets, rugs and glassware is beyond stunning and beautifully tasteful. You can wander next door and pick up a candle from Natural, or a viola filled heart shaped planter. Have your nails sorted out or have a massage, it is too lovely for words.
Rory really has a skill for handpicking the stores that come onto his property, and there are eight more coming, along with a water park and more activities for children of all ages.
Add in Sage, where you can enjoy a pizza from the wood fired oven, or my favourite, aubergine fritters, and a glass of wine, and this is the perfect trip. Go for breakfast and head off to the beach afterwards, go for lunch and a bit of musselling, or head up this Saturday for the Litchi Farmers Market and some shopping with jazz thrown in.
It only takes half an hour at a leisurely pace to get up to this relaxing spot, take the kids for sand art, and bring your wallets, you will want to buy something to take home, I guarantee…..
