Would you like to explore the meaning of life and learn about Christianity? If so, why not head to your local church for a 10-week Alpha course, where you’ll meet new people, enjoy a free meal and take part in open discussions on various aspects of faith and life.
Ten churches from the Upper Highway area will be running the world-renowned Alpha course, beginning in the last week of July. At the introductory dinner, you’ll be able to find out more, with no obligation to commit to all ten sessions.
“These evenings will be low-key and relaxed, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you like without being judged,” says Janet Hotchkiss, who was instrumental in arranging the event.
The movement began in Brompton, UK and to-date 16 million people have taken part. In the Western Cape, a group of 200 churches have been running the courses concurrently, creating an environment where no question is too simple or too hostile.
