We are so lucky to have a rugby team in the Sharks who believe in getting out into their local community in all sorts of ways, and the latest initiative is their anti bullying campaign. Flank Jacques Botes, scrumhalf Cobus Reinach, lock Anton Bresler, fullback Louis Ludik, flyhalf Riaan Viljoen and hooker Monde Hadebe visited Clifton Prep recently to address this vital issue.
They chatted to the boys about difficult situations they may face at school, exactly what bullying is, and how important it is that when they returned to their school in the future they would be remembered as good guys and for the right reasons. To be talked to by their heroes on the field about such a powerful subject had a huge impact on the boys, and got the message over better than any number of lessons would have done.
