‘Knowledge is Power’ was the message delivered loud and clear by Johann von Bargen a.k.a. The Traffic Guy at the benefit event held recently at Le Domaine, with proceeds going to SARDA Durban.

Guests were welcomed to the event with champagne and scrumptious treats. With a faithful following of Traffic Report listeners present, guests were able to meet Johann von Bargen in person and pay full attention to his words of wisdom on how to avoid becoming a hijack victim and, in a worst case scenario, behave when faced with the threat.
Johann’s presentation was lively, interactive and entertaining. Fiona Muhl, chairwoman of SARDA Durban, thanked Jaco van Buuren of Honda Auto Pinetown for being the main sponsor and also the business supporters for their contributions to the event, together with a special thanks to the many guests in attendance.
“The support of the business community and individuals by sponsorship, donations and attendance at events ensures the unique ‘therapy in motion’ programme, offered to schools for children with special needs throughout Durban, can continue providing a form of therapy that would otherwise not be available for the children,” said Muhl.
Muhl added, “The NPO/PBO is operated by volunteers with no paid employees and no charge is made to the schools or families.”
SARDA Durban welcomes enquiries on sponsorship, donations and volunteering by contacting durban@sarda.co.za.
