In this video from Russia Today, Japan Coast guard members aboard a helicopter found the dog drifting along on top of debris about 1.8km off Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture. It took several hours to catch the understandably stressed out pooch and bring him to the safety of a coastguard vessel. The dog’s collar gave no clue about the owner such as address and contact numbers.
