Juventus FC serves the Durban North Community in providing football development to both advantaged and disadvantaged youngsters wishing to play the beautiful game. The club has juniors joining from all over Durban attracted by the club’s strong ethos and belief in technical coaching as we are one of the few amateur clubs in the country to have qualified accredited SAFA coaches within our structures.
The U12 Juventus Rangers Team, through hard work and dedicated practice, emerged victorious last season in both the League and Cup tournaments. It is largely due to this success that they have been invited this season, as U13’s, to participate in the prestigious International Super Cup Tournament to be held in Manchester, England. The tournament is a stage for teams from around the world to come and perform in front of English Premier League scouts, all looking to find the future stars of the game. The English International Super cup takes place just a stone’s throw away from some of the world’s greatest football arenas.
While being invited to participate in this tournament is an honour in itself, we see this as an opportunity for our boys, who have honed their talent through months of committed practice, to see their hard work bear fruit. We view this as a rare privilege, experienced by very few in South Africa and the continent as a whole, to perform on an international stage where our boys will test their skill against some of the best age-rated teams in the world. A few may even realise their dream, a common dream held by millions of boys around the world, to play for an internationally recognized football club.
