The crowds of supporters, family and friends had a fun and entertaining evening, while the judges battled to make their decisions on who would walk away with prizes valued at over R50 000. The prizes included over R25 000 in cash, trips on MSC Opera, photo portfolios, PR support services from S&A Marketing, being the face of uShaka Marine World on all advertising for the year, as well as products and many other prizes.

The judges eventually decided the following: in the Junior Miss uShaka category: 2nd runner-up was Amy Stemmet from Malvern, 1st runner-up was Siphesihle Ndlela from Mtubatuba and Richard’s Bay’s Alicia Terblanche was crowned the winner.

In the Mr uShaka category: 2nd runner-up was Nathan Van Wyk from Durban North, with Vuyo Ngwabe from Umlazi as the runner-up and Durban resident Tsepo Gumede named as Mr uShaka 2014.

Finally, the crown for Miss uShaka 2014 went to Kwa Mashu’s Anele Nzuza, with Imsume Mission resident, Nicole Bulose as runner-up and Jodie Insel from Durban North placed as the second runner-up.
