The University of the Western Cape (UWC) invites all graduates and past students in Durban and surrounding areas to attend the 60s and 70s Alumni Reunion Weekend from 4 to 6 October at the Bellville campus.
The event aims to welcome back the founding graduates to reconnect and share their stories, and to see how the university is building on the foundation of their legacy.
There were 17 students in the University’s first graduation ceremony in 1953, and there are now more than 4000 students graduating annually.
The weekend-long programme is open to all UWC alumni and will include a breakfast with the Rector, a formal dance, a jazz evening, a remembrance service, campus tours, and an afternoon programme of fun for the family.
