Ian von Memerty and his family have become to South Africa what the Sound Of Music’s Von Traps are to the rest of the world. This versatile, multi-talented family is causing a storm around the country with their brand of family entertainment, and they bring their new show, Circle Of Life, to The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway for two shows only on January 28 and 29.
The show will see South African theatre doyens Ian and Viv von Memerty sharing The Barnyard stage for the second time with their two children, Oscar (15) and Kasvia (10).
Numbers include a swing opening of I Got Rhythm, In The Mood, and Me And My Shadow; an over-the-top Bollywood Jai Ho; and a sizzling all South African pennywhistle number. Ian and Viv revel in their new numbers of Evergreen, a passionate tango and paso doble, Besame Mucho, Let’s Get Loud and a sizzling samba medley.
