The 2012 Waterfall College Speech Day was held on Friday 19 October 2012 at the school premises on the iThemba Campus outside Hillcrest, overlooking the Valley of 1000 Hills. This is the highlight of the school calendar as major achievements are recognized and the matriculants receive an unforgettable farewell.

Speaking at the occasion, guest of honour Mrs Jane Pennefather of the School of Education and Development in the Faculty of Education at the UKZN Pietermaritzburg Campus said that there was an opportunity in life to change one’s self and to change society. She encouraged learners to step outside of their comfort zones, to be an active part of the community and to contribute meaningfully to South Africa.
The Guard of Honour created by all the learners of the school for the matriculants was the culmination of the event, a heartwarming farewell and send-off.
