Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt provided the youtube smash of the season when they performed this cover of ‘What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?’ by Nancy Wilson.
The pair have been firm friends since they starred together in the not-so-well-known movie Manic in 2000. “We bonded over a mutual appreciation for Harry Nilsson and Nina Simone,” says Zooey, “and I have been lucky enough to call him one of my dearest friends ever since.” Their most notable performance together was in 500 Days of Summer in 2007.
