The world’s largest whisky event, the FNB Whisky Live Festival is once again gearing up for another year of showcasing the finest whiskies from around the world.
Leading up to the festival is the introduction of the FNB Whisky Live Showrooms, which will be hosted in Durban from 25 to 26 April, Nelspruit from 16 to 17 May and Cape Town from 19 to 21 June.
Whisky enthusiasts attending the exclusive showroom events will have the opportunity to taste different expressions from the world’s most awarded single malt whisky, Glenfiddich and The Balvenie.
The introduction of the FNB Whisky Live Showrooms offers a more personal setting for whisky enthusiasts to sample some local and international whisky brands.
“The FNB Whisky Live Festival continues to set a benchmark for whisky festivals globally and with the introduction of the showrooms, the event has set the highest standard achievable. We are proud to have two of our premium brands associated with the series of events leading up to the world’s prominent whisky festival,” says Lauren Kuhlmey, Marketing Manager at Edward Snell & Co LTD.
Glenfiddich will give festival goers a chance to taste the Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Rich Oak Edition and the Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Distillery Edition. Both variants made a debut in last year’s festival in Soweto.
Along with these new variants, the brand’s core range – the 12 Year Old, 15 Year Old Solera, and the 18 Year Old – will also make an appearance.
The Balvenie will present the 12 Year Old Doublewood and is also expected to debut the 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask and The Balvenie Doublewood (aged 17 Years). Both variants are new additions to the range and will be available in South Africa from June.
The FNB Whisky Live Showroom promotes responsible drinking. No persons under the age of 18 years will be allowed to attend the event.
The FNB Whisky Live Showroom will take place at Suncoast Casino from 25 to 26 April. Tickets are available online at www.whiskylivefestival.co.za.
