July 20, 2011. On Saturday, July 23, Hotel Izulu in Ballito, in conjunction with Domaine Des Dieux will host a food and wine afternoon by the poolside with live jazz music from noon until 4pm at a cost of R100 a person, which entitles guests to experience all the wine and food on offer. After 4pm food and wine will be available to be bought individually.
Some of the pairings include:
**Domaine Des Dieux Claudia MCC 2007 with West Coast oysters, served with a selection of salsas and Wild Mushroom vol au vont.
**Domaine Des Dieux Sauvignon Blanc 2008 paired with a goats cheese crostini and finished with roasted walnuts and basil.
**Domaine Des Dieux Chardonnay 2009 with grilled black tiger prawns finished with a soy beurre blanc sauce and sole served with a coriander and caper Beurre noisette.
Other wines showcased on the day are the Domaine Des Dieux Josephine Pinot Noir 2009 and the Domaine Des Dieux Syrah Mourvèdre 2009.
