Winehouse insults king

By The Ridge Magazine03/08/20103 Mins Read

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse and boyfriend Reg Traviss were at the launch of Camden’s Shaka Zulu bar and restaurant in North London this week where guests of honour were His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini, wearing traditional dress of leopard skins, and Queen Mantfombi.

Fuelled with pink bubbly, Winehouse demanded cigarettes and cackled during his speech. A source said, “She bellowed in the King’s direction: ‘Anyone got a fag? I’m gagging for one!’ He looked stunned. Then when the king thanked everyone you could hear Winehouse laughing and blurting out: ‘I want an outfit like His Majesty’s.’ Leopard-print is in!”

Traviss took her by the arm and got her into a taxi – where she apparently sprawled all over the back seat. The Sun newspaper reported that the pair had arrived late at the do and Winehouse was already “smashed” before they took their seats at the head table. – The Mirror

Lindsay hits rehab

Lindsay Lohan is currently hanging out in “4 East”, and it’s not some swanky new LA club. It’s the nickname of the rehab programme housed at the UCLA Medical Centre. For the next 80 Lindsay Lohan will trade all her luxury toys, gadgets, Twitter etc for puzzles and old fashioned games, as she looks to beat booze and drug problems plaguing her career.

The Associated Press reports that Lohan cannot have any friends visit her in rehab until she completes 30 days of her three-month stint. Family members are allowed. – Zimbio, Associated Press

Jacko home for sale

You don’t need $30 million to buy a one-of-a-kind piece of Michael Jackson history. In fact you just need a mere $28 995 000 – that’s the asking price on the Holmby Hills mansion Jackson was renting out for $100 000 a month at the time of his death. (No word on whether there’s a rent-to-own option). – LA Times

Joost files for divorce

Singer and TV presenter Amor Vittone has reportedly been given the boot by her husband Joost van der Westhuizen. The former Bok captain confirmed to Beeld newspaper that he had acted “on legal advice” and filed for divorce from Vittone.

While it might come as a surprise that it is Vittone being served the divorce papers after her husband was involved in a sex scandal, Van der Westhuizen’s lawyer would not comment on why his client was filing for divorce. – News 24, The Tonight
