Margaret Hirsch, COO of the Hirsch Group was the Guest Speaker at the Durban Chamber of Commerce’s Monthly Coffee Connection Networking function that was held in the Convention Centre at the Greyville Racecourse recently. Margaret inspired the audience with her talk on how Hirsch’s started 36 years ago when she and Allan were fired from their jobs (because she was pregnant and he had a great idea that his boss suggested was something he should run with on his own) “Work for a boss and make a living – work for yourself and make a fortune, but know that to do this you have to work really hard and love what you do. We all have the seed of greatness in us – we just have to find it!” she stressed. “Starting my own business is always something I’ve wanted to do. This was the nudge I needed!!” One of the guests told us as she was leaving.
