Recently, Hirsch’s Hillcrest hosted their first Women in Business Networking session for 2017.
Guest speaker Karen Brokensha, Marketing and Fundraising Co-ordinator for Ithemba Lethu, spoke about ‘The Importance of Giving Back’ and how charity begins at home. Karen made the guests sit in a circle to allow for an interactive session.
“We often see people in need, that we cannot afford to help with money, but money is not the only way to help someone. Each of us has gifts and talents that we can offer to help those less fortunate than ourselves, sometimes it can be as simple as volunteering your time or expertise to help others.” said Karen.
Congratulations to Claudette Lingenfelder, January finalist for the national women in business competition “The Margaret Hirsch Women in Business Achiever Awards”. Claudette is the owner of Beauty Beyond, mobile hair, make-up and training.
