The MTN Radio Awards recognise excellence in radio across South Africa. It’s about rewarding those individuals and organisations who combine talent, hard work and skill to ensure that their listeners are compelled.

East Coast Radio already has several MTN Radio Awards under its belt including Best Commercial Promotions Stunt (2013), Best Community Project for Toy Story (2012) and Best Content Producer (2011). ECR also received the Station of the Year nomination in 2013.
This year, members of the ECR team are hoping to add to their awards chest when they return from the finals of the MTN Radio Awards on 12 April at the Sandton Convention Centre.
ECR Programming Manager, Zane Derbyshire, says “Recognition is such a key part of measuring your success as a brand. Being nominated in the MTN Radio Awards is a true honour and we are very excited to see what will happen on 12 April! I am so proud of the entire team and thrilled that Darren Maule and Damon Beard, two of our most key presenters, were nominated.”
