October 15, 2010. Glorious music and song will thrill audiences at the Playhouse Opera Theatre for the 21st “Last Night of the Proms” in Durban on October 23 at 7.30pm.
The British Cultural and Heritage Association offers the opportunity to experience the fun and unique atmosphere of this great musical occasion. Conducted by Richard Cock, the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra, Durban Symphonic Choir, Durban Girls College Choir, the Caledonian/NMR/Durban Regiment combined Pipe Bands and drummers, the Parker Studio of Celtic Dance and guest soloists Kwazi Makhanya, Kirsten Dey and Keziah Peel will perform a variety of pieces celebrating the joy of music.
