A Father’s Day Out

By Mums Mail Magazine28/05/20182 Mins Read

If you are wondering how to treat your dad/husband on Father’s Day, we have some ideas for you! In fact, we have a whole day of activities already planned out for you!

 Breakfast in bed

Start the day on a good note and make dad some coffee and his favourite breakfast in bed. Sit on the bed with him and give him a present and card.

Movie

Take him to see an action movie in the morning – make sure to get all his favourite snacks!

Picnic

After the movie, take dad to a local park (or the beach) for a picnic. Pack home-made burgers or sarmies with chips and beers or his favourite refreshing drink. Play some ball games or chill out on a blanket and let dad chill.

Take a drive

After your picnic lunch, take your dad for a drive into the countryside or along the coast and visit a local attraction that he’s never seen before – stop along the way for a coffee and cake.

Time out

When you get home, give dad some time alone and let him go for an afternoon nap.

Braai

While he’s chilling out, get a fire started to braai some meat. Since he’s always the one to braai for the family, this time let him relax while you cook the meat.

Family time

After a relaxed family meal, watch a movie together or play some board games.

After an action-packed day, your dad is sure to go to bed with a smile on his face!
