Former US Deputy President in hot water over 2006 claims
5Fm’s Gareth Cliff brought my attention to this fascinating story which is big news in the United States right now. Former US Deputy President Al Gore, famous for producing and narrating the documentary film “An Inconvenient Truth”, finds himself under siege over allegations of “unwanted sexual contact” lodged by massage therapist, Molly Hagerty.
Hagerty, from Portland, Oregon, claims Gore, who has enjoyed a squeaky-clean, almost robotic image up until now, met her at an appointment at an upscale hotel. While she was doing abdominal work, he requested she continue the massage lower down. “He further insisted and acted angry, becoming verbally sharp and loud,” when she refused, according to an interview with police.
Gore, a tireless campaigner for the environment, who has enjoyed a squeaky clean image, has fiercely denied the allegations which are now part of a police investigation. The incident was first reported in October 2006 but the woman again contacted police in January 2009 and gave a statement.
Is it a case of “An Inconvenient Truth”, or is the big man being set up for a nasty fall?

I smell something fishy here! normally where there’s smoke there’s fire, but how can a man go through so many years of being such high profile figure and suddenly mess up? and why take 3 years to follow up on this alleged sexual harassment? then again…we could have another tiger woods scenario where suddenly many more women come forward………..?
Exactly. Apparently there is a lot of strain in the marriage. Gore has been solid for so long. I reckon he needs to lie low over this one, regardless of what really happened.
