Tensions run high as the Roof of Africa champion Chris Birch (Comsol Alfie Cox KTM) gets ready to defend his title in what is known as the mother of hard enduro.
Without a doubt Africa’s biggest enduro event, racers and spectators around the globe gather to take part.
The race starts on 24 November and will conclude on the 26th, when Birch will know if he has surpassed his hat trick winnings thus far. He has some steep competition with some of the world’s best participating this year.
International riders include Paul Bolton, Graham Jarvis (Romaniacs champion) and Andreas Lettenbichler.
South Africa’s pride and joy include senior rider William Gillitt (Comsol Alfie Cox KTM), Darryl Curtis and Brian Capper.
Should Birch take another win, he will be one of only two riders to achieve a four-in-a-row win, the other being co-sponsor and enduro legend, Alfie Cox.
