It may have been drizzly and the waiting was chilly, but when the angels starting flying round the dome at Angel’s Place on Saturday to mark the end of the France-South African year of cultural union, the place went wild.
The streets were thick with feathers, aerial performers did incredible things above our heads, and the crowd was happy, coming together to celebrate Durban putting on an event right in the centre of the City. May there be many more like this.
