Bulls and Springbok lock Bakkies Botha escaped sanction from a disciplinary hearing after being cited for dangerous play in a recent match against the Stormers. His target on this occasion was Stormers scrum-half Dewaldt Duvenage.

Botha has “previous” . . . particularly for his head-butt on All Black Jimmy Cowan last year.
