Heavy rains and unseasonal weather have caused another delay to the Ballito interchange. After the previous contracter went bankrupt Steffanuti Stocks Civils KZN says it expects the work to be finished by April 2013.
Heavy traffic congestion and long term disruption should be replaced by a new wider bridge with four through lanes on the Compensation/Ballito interchange and a wider and longer bridge.
