East Coast Radio is giving one local musician or band the opportunity to perform live to thousands at East Coast Radio Durban Day on 8 September 2013. If you are a band, a solo performer or just love to sing, then you could be the opening act at this year’s Durban Day at People’s Park at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The station’s Programming Manager Naveen Singh says, “South African music is in an incredible place at the moment and our home-grown artists are taking this to new levels. We love to see local musicians doing well and we’re urging them to submit a track as part of our search for an opening act.”
All East Coast Radio needs from up-and-coming musicians is a track they’ve recorded. This can be sent via SoundCloud, a Dropbox link or even a YouTube link. Finalists will then vie for public vote. The winning band or musician will play to over 10 000 people, performing their own songs, together with a stellar line-up of South Africa’s top artists.
All aspiring artists should send their recording together with their contact details to durbanday@ecr.co.za. For competition Terms and Conditions please visit www.ecr.co.za.
