Jenny, who also has a branch in Ballito at the Lifestyle Centre, prides herself on the quality of her garments. A former swimwear buyer in a Chelsea, London, store for 12 years, she’s also, surprise surprise, a swimwear designer. “While working in London I realised no one catered for swimwear for the typical big-busted English woman, so I came up with a range called Storm in a D Cup, which was a huge success and which I still sell,” she said.
Her boss, she added, used to fly her all over the globe looking for swimwear for the store, and she quickly discovered the world’s best quality products.
“I stock mainly imported ranges in Beach & Beyond, because there’s no doubt the quality is hugely superior to anything else. Not only does it feel good, but when women try on the swimsuits, they love them. They can immediately see the difference in fit and quality.”
She said they prided themselves on stocking “everything you need for your island or beach holiday, or even your honeymoon”.
Personal service, the fact that you can buy tops and bottoms separately, and that the tops come in bra sizes, all combine to make Beach & Beyond an irresistible destination for those in search of that fabulously different, holiday outfit.
“We are the only stockists of some of the world’s most exclusive ranges. When new supplies come in, my customers get newsletters and updates from me, and when they pop in to the store to see the new ranges, they’re given champagne.”
