December 2010: The grande dame of KwaZulu-Natal, the Beverly Hills, opened her doors in December 1964 and was not only Sol Kerzner’s first hotel, it was the first five-star hotel in the province. Named after Kerzner’s daughter Beverly, it has been an icon and landmark of Umhlanga ever since.
