Santa’s Charity Golf Day 2013, a fundraising event in support of Childline KZN, was held on Thursday 21 November at Durban Country Club to great success.
Despite the wet weather conditions, players showed their commitment to the cause and played through the rain.
These players included the Mystery Celebrity Fourball of Mike Procter, Ian Mac, Neil Tovey and Kevin Shea. East Coast Radio on-air personalities also braved the conditions and contributed to the success of the golf day with Mak Dlamini and Darren Maule, who was MC for the evening’s dinner and prize-giving.
Funds on the night reached over R15 000 which will be used for a “Therapeutic PlayRoom Makeover” of a facility at Childline KZN. This will include refurbishing the waiting room and reception area, with the focus being on the playroom.
“We aim to leave a legacy of love and hope for the children at Childline KZN and welcome any support,” said the Managing Director, Carlos Dos Santos of Golf Traveller Africa, whose company hosted the golf day.
