Transnet in partnership with the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry is embarking on a three year business development initiative, comprising of a focused and comprehensive enterprise and supplier development (ESD) programme that accelerates participation of the previously disadvantaged target groups, who fall within the SME category. Prospective businesses are hereby invited to apply to participate in this supplier development initiative that will commence in March 2016.
Objective of the initiative
The overall objective of the development initiative is to develop competencies and capabilities of emerging qualifying local suppliers to a level where they may qualify for a meaningful access to procurement opportunities within the supply chain of Transnet Pipelines and other entities.
