The Jes Foord Foundation will be holding the third annual New Beginnings Ball sponsored by Netcare on 2 August at the Docklands Hotel in Durban.
This year marks the fifth year of being a rape survivor for Jes, but these years have also been filled with amazing achievement and advances in the foundation’s programs that are improving the compassionate treatment of rape survivors, restoring lives, and raising awareness about a crime that takes place every 17 seconds in South Africa.
The doors will be opening at 6pm and the theme for this year’s event is Mad Hatter’s.
The best dressed in theme will win a two night stay at the 5 star Three Cities’ Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa.
The evening will be emceed by Highveld Stereo DJ Sam Cowen, and will include two live bands, a hilarious comedian, inspiring presentations, a live auction, and a DJ so that guests can dance the night away!
At the ball, Jes Foord will crown one of the rape survivors who will be sharing her touching story for the first time.
Adrian Shields Photography will be there to capture the excitement of the evening. Karen Monk Klijnstra is the official designer for the event and guests can contact her to design or hire their Mad Hatter attire by sending her an email.
Tickets are R500 per person and a table of ten can be purchased for R4700. To book, call 031 765 4559 or email admin@jff.org.za.
