British Premier League champions Chelsea aim to put the boot in while their opponents are down. Now they’re after arch-rivals Manchester United’s unhappy star striker Wayne Rooney.
Following a string of lurid sex claims against Rooney, it’s no secret that his relationship with disciplinarian coach Sir Alex Ferguson is on the rocks (not to mention that with wife Coleen).
Now it seems Chelsea and even fellow Manchester team Manchester City are looking to take advantage, and are chasing Rooney’s signature.
The prolific striker who scored more than 40 goals last term has barely troubled the keepers this season, and it’s clear his personal life has spilled over on to the pitch where he’s failed in his attempts to lead the United attack.
Rooney’s been valued at around 50 million pounds. What would you pay for the stout little genius known as Shrek?
