Despite the rainy weather, the magic of Christmas enveloped the children of Focus on Ithemba recently when they enjoyed a splendid Christmas party thanks to Hirsch’s in Hillcrest, Kwikspar Hillcrest, Waterfall Spar and Spar head office Category Management team.

Local equestrian Dave Leslie transformed into old Saint Nick, arriving in momentous fashion on his beloved horse-drawn carriage, bearing gifts. Everyone then moved inside, where the jolly old fellow made sure that each and every child received a gift.
“We are deeply grateful to our generous sponsors for making today possible. The lives of the orphans are not easy and events like these help to give them hope,” said Nadine Wright, iThemba’s donor relations manager.
