I Care are appealing to the public to give underprivileged children a happy Christmas by donating a Christmas shoebox.
A shoebox may not change the world but to these children it will make the world of difference.
This project gives privileged children the opportunity to fill an ordinary shoebox with goodies for less privileged children.
These gifts are given regardless of nationality or religious belief because Christmas is a time of giving to all.
How to pack your shoebox:
Find an empty, medium-sized shoebox. Cover the box in Christmas paper, making sure you wrap the lid of the box separately. Attach a little card from you. The contents of the box will be for a boy – aged between 10 and 17. Fill your shoebox with the following items, not wrapping them individually:
- A small packet of biscuits, chips and sweets
- Pencil case – pen, pencil, ruler, eraser, sharpener
- Box of pencil crayons
- Notebook
- Facecloth
- Bar of soap
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Roll-on deodorant
- Pack of cards
Hopefully you have as much fun making up your Christmas box as the boys will have opening it!
