The Robin Hood Foundation feel strongly about helping those who don’t have a voice. Cindy Norcott, chairlady of the foundation, was the guest speaker at the Inanda Dog Project’s annual fundraiser and after hearing Jenny Konningkramer, the founder of the organisation, speak she decided something needed to be done to assist her with feeding the hundreds of hungry and neglected dogs.

The ‘Wag-a-Tail’ campaign has been launched and when the Robin Hood Foundation do their Gogo Bag drop on 26 November 2014 they will, with the guidance and help of the Inanda Dog Project, deliver bags of food to the hungry dogs in the Waterfall and Botha Hill areas.
“Royal Canin got wind of the campaign and immediately responded to say they would donate dog food, manpower on the day and distribute flyers to the vets and pet shops they supply in order to grow the awareness,’’ explains Kim Griffith Jones, co-ordinator for the Robin Hood Foundation. “I don’t think the public realise the amazing work that Jenny Konnigkramer does. She and her assistant go into rural areas on a daily basis and take much needed dog food, deworming tablets, dog bowls, blankets and invaluable advise for the pet owners.’’
Should you or your business wish to get involved you can either donate a bag or bags of dog food, join the team to assist with the distribution on the day or make a donation of R25 or more towards the campaign. The drop off points for the dog food are Broadway Pharmacy in Durban North, Pro-Appointments in Westway Office Park, Chilli Source Design in Kloof and Wool ‘n Weave in Hillcrest.
The Robin Hood Foundation’s bank account is: The Robin Hood Foundation, Nedbank, Account number: 164 816 0948, Branch code: 164 826, Ref: Wag-A-Tail.
‘Wag-A-Tail’ is one of the many outreach projects which the foundation will be embarking on over the next two months – Bless a Granny or Grandpa, Beanies and Blankets for Love the Babies and Christmas 4 Kids are other projects which they are looking for support for.
