The Mum’s Mail team experienced a Clueless murder mystery evening at the end of last year, and it was bucket loads of fun! We arranged to have ours at a restaurant with a private dining area – and a delicious meal was included. It was the perfect time for us to let our hair down and laugh the night away.
How it works
You choose your theme for the evening – there are seven to choose from – and each theme has its own back story, characters and script, all with a uniquely South African flavour. All themes and scripts are written by award-winning local journalist Trish Beaver who uses her comic humour and knowledge of typical South African scenarios to make the game unusual and unforgettable.
The Clueless team will then send out invitations to your guests via email, revealing their character for the night and encouraging them to dress and act the part on the night.
On the night, the murder mystery is facilitated by a host who leads you through the game. This is not a passive dinner entertainment – everyone is involved in the unfolding plot. Get ready for lots of laughs as you follow the script throughout the evening.
At the end of the night, everyone gets to guess who the murderer is, and if you get it right you win a prize! This is sheer fun and escapism – its entertainment to die for! Bwahahahahaaa….
