Durban-based artist and muralist, Marcelle Delew-Kappen, offers a variety of creative services including murals and paint finishes on floors, walls and ceilings, oil or acrylic painting on canvas as well as mosaic.
Mosaic Parties
One of her most exciting and popular offerings is her mosaic parties! They are perfect for both girls and boys between the ages of five and 12.
Marcelle will travel to your home or party venue (usually on the weekends but sometimes during the week if you book early enough). She provides pre-cut mosaic tiles in an assortment of colours, shapes and textures, and pre-cut wooden shapes to mosaic onto – such as hearts, stars, birds, flowers, butterflies and trees. The children choose their shapes and mosaic tiles and then are let loose to express their creativity and create a design. Once they are happy with their design, Marcelle helps them apply the glue.
The mosaics provide up to two hours of fun entertainment, and the mosaic is the “party pack” that the kids make themselves and get to take home. Marcelle tries to coax out the best work of art from each child. They can work at a table or floor for this.
