Cotswold Downs Golf Course to be showcased to the world on the 19th Amateur Golfers Championship.
The world’s largest amateur golfing event, the 19th Amateur World Golfers Championship, is set to return to the renowned fairways and greens of Cotswold Downs Golf Course.
Following last year’s debut participation, the course has once again made the selection as one of the four KZN championship courses that will host the World Final in October as well as the venue for the first Regional Event in the selection for Team South Africa.

The high standards of maintenance and sheer beauty of the Cotswold Downs Golf Course received high international acclaim last year and we are thrilled to announce their selection in this year’s event”.

“The championship, which is supported by the PGA of South Africa, is open to all amateur golfers over the age of 16 and with an official handicap. If you finish in the top three of your flighting you win an all expense paid trip to the SA Final.
Those who finish in the top two of their flighting in the SA Final, qualify for Team South Africa 1 and 2 and win another all-expense paid trip to the World Final to compete against amateur golfers from all over the world for the coveted amateur golfing title both individually and as a country,” concludes Beverley Theron, Event Managing Executive of WGESA.
