A serious accident occured at the intersection of Kassier and Old Main Roads just after 7am this morning, causing major disruption in the Hillcrest/Bothas Hill area.
The road was closed while police and medical personnel dealt with the situation. News24 had the incident down as a level 5 severity – the highest rating. One pedestrian is said to have died at the scene and another was airlifted to hospital.
It is alleged the accident was caused by a motorist losing control of their car as they travelled down Old Main Road from Bothas Hill.

Hectic. My mom lives at the top of the hill. People always fly down that road.
