A man and a woman were injured this morning after they were allegedly knocked off of their bicycles by and unknown white vehicle as they were travelling up Fields Hill towards Hillcrest.
The 62-year-old man and 28-year-old woman did not see the impact coming as they were hit from behind. All that was explained was that it was a white vehicle which then fled the scene after both of the cyclists had fallen to the ground.
The 62 year old man was treated for multiple but moderate injuries, while the 28 year old woman was in a more serious condition. The woman required treatment by the Advanced Life Support Paramedic, and both she and the man were transported per ambulance to Hillcrest Private Hospital.
The necessary officials attended the scene and will determine what the reason was for the accident and why the driver of the vehicle allegedly fled the scene.
